Elia Timotheo

Elia Timotheo is the Founder and CEO of East Africa Foods (formerly East Africa Fruits), Tanzania's leading food distribution company founded in 2013. A Certified Professional Accountant, he holds a bachelor's degree in Business Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University and completed executive education at Harvard Business School in 2023. His work focuses on solving market inefficiencies in the agricultural supply chain, improving the lives of smallholder farmers across Tanzania. The company works with over 1,300 smallholders, reducing post-harvest losses and providing stable, fair market access. He won the Africa's Business Heroes 2022 Grand Prize and received the African Entrepreneurship Award in 2015.
