Emeka Ajene is a Nigerian entrepreneur, investor, and business leader with over a decade of experience across Africa's startup ecosystem. He is the founder and CEO of Afri.capital, a venture capital firm connecting global investors with African tech startups, and founder of Afridigest, a business media and strategic intelligence platform. He co-founded and led Gozem as Managing Director/CEO from 2018 to 2023, building a mobility-led super app across Francophone Africa (Togo, Benin, Gabon, Cameroon) through its Series A fundraise. Previously, he served as second-in-command to the Nigeria Country Manager at Uber, where he helped launch Uber's 400th city globally and pioneered cash payments. Earlier roles include Vice President at Konga e-commerce, M&A investment banker at Citigroup, and mathematics teacher at Phillips Academy. He holds dual JD and MBA degrees from University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in mathematical economics from Morehouse College.
