
Francine Munyaneza - FOUNDER and CEO of MUNYAX ECO - COMPANY SPECIALISED IN SOLAR ENERGY as well as “La Maison Verte” a green / ecological green building project. Francine, a Rwandese national educated in finance and business management in one the finest Belgium universities – Universite Catholique de Louvain. She is quietly but surely starting to impact the great lakes region with her clean renewable energy business and women empowerment agenda through the fight against climate change. Beyond her academic qualification , her 20 years of “global and local” experience in the middle east ; Europe , Africa , Asia and Americas working at senior management level with top north American corporations as well as leading humanitarian organization (ICRC, MSF ) that uniquely equipped her to read and addresses situations where the Government , the private sector and the civil society have to coalesce seamlessly while keeping the collaborative outcome and approaches concrete and economically sustainable. Francine is the founder of MUNYAX ECO, a private company working in collaboration with private sector, government administration and NGO’s by providing national and regional emerging markets with solar equipment adapted and tested for our regions. She is known for her gender-oriented recruitment and sales strategy which is to bring women into the fight against climate change by harnessing the use of clean and renewable energy and market it at large to communities and to women. Leading by example, her company MUNYAX ECO is an African woman led company which specializes in providing the continent with renewable energy products. Thanks to her leadership more than 800 Solar thermal and PV systems (solar water heaters, Photovoltaic systems, solar mini-grids, solar irrigation…) were deployed so far. Through her leasing of solar equipment scheme, she intents to service communities in a sustainable fashion to generate both social impact and women empowerment.
