Francis Nderitu is the Founder and Managing Director of Keep IT Cool (formerly Raino Tech4Impact), a Kenyan climate-tech social enterprise providing sustainable, solar-powered cold chain refrigeration and smart distribution solutions for small-scale farmers and fishers in East Africa. Winner of the 2024 Earthshot Prize, he has over 13 years of experience leveraging technology to reduce post-harvest losses, improve food supply chains, and empower underserved African communities. His work has been recognized with multiple awards including the Sankalp Award, Google Black Founders Fund, and AfDB Enable Youth Champion. Raised on a farm, he combines technological expertise with deep understanding of agricultural challenges to create climate-smart solutions that boost farmer productivity and income.
