British-born entrepreneur with over 40 years of business experience across East Africa. Former British Army officer and London stockbroker before relocating to East Africa in 1983. Served as General Manager of Lonrho Tanzania Ltd before co-founding Tanzania Tea Packers (Tatepa) in 1994 with Joseph Mungai, building it into Tanzania's largest smallholder tea and avocado producer. Led Tatepa to become the third company listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange in 1999. Created Tanzania's largest tea brand "Chai Bora" (sold to TransCentury in 2008). Founded Rungwe Avocado Company in 2010. Currently serves as Chairman of Flame Tree Group Holdings, Kariki Group (Kenya flower farms), Nomad Tanzania (safari lodges), and Tatepa. Sits on boards of Equity Bank Tanzania, Wakulima Tea Company, Pamoja Holdings, and Marginpar BV. Long-term Tanzanian resident with expertise across agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, and finance sectors.
