Kola co-founded AfyA Care Nigeria Limited in 2019, where he is now the Chief Operating Officer. He is also ED/COO at R-Jolad Hospital, Lagos. AfyA Care is a proprietary healthcare investment company focused on expanding healthcare access and optimizing delivery models in Africa using Lagos, Nigeria as launchpad. AfyA Care currently has four operating companies – R-Jolad Hospital, Bastion HMO, EROM Diagnostics and Octosoft Technologies. He was a Senior Executive with AXA Mansard Nigeria as Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, he led a team that secured commitments of circa $44m equity and N10bn debt from DFIs, Funds and other investors in a landmark hospital project. As CMO, he managed the transition of a known local brand ‘Mansard’ to the international parent company brand ‘AXA’ growing awareness, consideration and brand equity/value, he also launched two major television commercials. He set up a business transformation team that saved circa $1m in annual costs within a year through innovation and process improvements, thereby cementing his general management credentials. He has worked across industries on a range of projects with experience in bringing parties together to structure solutions in difficult deal situations. A Chartered Accountant and Consultant with experience in two of the ‘Big 4’ firms - KPMG and PwC. He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School and IESE’s Advanced Management Program (AMP 31).
