Lars Veul

I am the co-founder and director of Pargo, a smart logistics platform that makes delivery more accessible, affordable and convenient for anybody in Africa through a tech-enabled network of Pargo drop-off and pick-up points. Originally from the Netherlands, but raised in East Africa and living in South Africa since 2012, I have always had a strong connection with Africa and am passionate about the different people, cultures and opportunities on the continent. Prior to starting Pargo I was part of the founding team at Groupon the Netherlands where I was responsible for setting up their ecommerce channels and I was asked to join the Groupon team in South Africa in 2012 where I headed up the operations and logistics team. I was part of the inaugural class of the Alibaba eFounder fellows (Class 1, 2017) and became an Endeavor Entrepreneur during the international selection panel in Argentina in 2018 (Class 82, 2018). I hold a Bsc in Communication Science from the University of Amsterdam and propedeuse in Law from Amsterdam University.
