Marnus van Heerden is a chartered accountant, legal expert, and entrepreneur with nine years of experience in the insurance industry. He serves as CEO and Co-Founder of Pineapple, South Africa's first peer-to-peer insurtech company. He began his career at KPMG where he audited major African insurers and banks including Old Mutual Insure, Hannover Re, Deutsche Bank, and Nedbank. He co-founded Pineapple in 2017 to revolutionize insurance through decentralized technology. Van Heerden has been recognized as Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 (2019), Top Entrepreneur in Johannesburg by Global Brands, and SAICA Top 35 Under 35.
