Miracle Anywanwu

Miracle Anyanwu is a Nigerian fintech entrepreneur, software engineer, and co-founder of Maplerad, a banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform. He serves as both CEO and CTO of the company. In 2020, he co-founded Wirepay, a consumer-facing payments application for international transfers using fiat and cryptocurrency. After businesses began requesting access to Wirepay's underlying infrastructure, Anyanwu and his co-founder Obinna Chukwujioke launched Maplerad in August 2022, enabling companies to integrate financial features like accounts, foreign exchange, and cards via APIs. In October 2022, Maplerad raised $6 million in seed funding led by Valar Ventures, Peter Thiel's investment firm. Anyanwu is focused on building financial infrastructure that solves compliance and licensing hurdles for African fintechs, allowing companies to launch financial products quickly.
