Peter Coetzee is the Founder and CEO of ikeja Wireless, a wireless internet service provider operating in underserved communities across South Africa's Western Cape, including Crossroads, Nyanga, Gugulethu, and Khayelitsha. He co-founded the company in 2014 alongside Matthew Symonds, Brett Nankin, and Marc Wolf. Under his leadership, ikeja has focused on providing affordable internet connectivity to townships and low-income areas, converting local spaza shops into digital hubs. Coetzee has been instrumental in community-focused initiatives, including the Monyetla Free Wi-Fi project that provides free, unlimited internet to over 500 households in the Phola community.
