AMI has trained over 26,000 people across 15 African countries, raised over $2.5M in investment and opened offices in Nairobi, Johannesburg and Kigali. Our web and mobile platform has over 65 short courses and 3,000 tools to download and use. Our clients include major foundations (Mastercard Foundation, Rockefeller), DFIs, multinationals (KLM, SC Johnson) and dozens of innovative companies across sectors and geographies. Rebecca is passionate about promoting and cultivating entrepreneurship, enterprise and social innovation in Africa. She has extensive experience in strategy, research and communications consulting, and has been published in leading international media (Reuters, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Guardian). Before AMI, Rebecca previously spent nine years as a foreign correspondent and news manager for Reuters, leading coverage of companies and markets across Africa, and writing about business, politics and development from 13 countries in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. MBA (cum laude) in Entrepreneurship from South Africa’s Gordon Institute of Business Science. BA (First Class) in English and French literature from the UK's University of Manchester.
