Swedish entrepreneur and visionary leader based in Cape Town since 2004. Born January 25, 1960 in Skåne, Sweden. Pioneered online travel in Europe and Africa. Started career at 18 as DJ and booking agent in Malmö. Founded International Tours (1989), Sweden's first automated telephone-based booking company, Mr. Jet (1997) - Northern Europe's first transactional online travel platform, and Travelstart (1999). Relocated to Cape Town in 2004 after repurchasing Travelstart post-dot-com bust. Sold European division in 2010 to focus on African and Middle Eastern markets. Built Travelstart into Africa's leading online travel agency operating across 15+ countries. Co-founded Innovation City Cape Town in 2021-2022 to foster tech ecosystem growth and position Cape Town as Africa's tech capital. Currently serves as Chairperson of Innovation City and TravelLab CEO.
