Tonye Membere-Otaji

Tonye Membere-Otaji is the founder and CEO of MVX (formerly MVXchange), a digital freight forwarding and trade finance platform that connects shippers to logistics services in Africa. He co-founded the company in 2019 with CTO Tobi Amusan after working in the maritime industry. MVX raised $1.3M in seed funding in 2021. Prior to MVX, he worked at Elshcon, an oil and gas offshore support services company, where he progressed from Chartering Officer to Head of Strategy. He is currently also Co-Founder and CEO of SynthAlly, a Techstars '24 company. Membere-Otaji holds a Master's degree in Management and Innovation from the University of Bradford and attended IMD Business School in Switzerland and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
