Waleed Has been working in several multinational hardware design houses and manufacturing facilities (such as Memscap), in which, he gained a lot of knowledge related to consumer electronics industry. In 2004, Waleed decided to change career so he started working on business studies and joined the business arena as a partner in ECS. In 1999 he joined Metra group. Between 2001 until recently, Waleed have been holding shares in many startups some of them in Egypt and others are in MEA region, and Far East. Waleed started Oteena in 2008. Oteena is a distribution company working with diversified products between IT and consumer electronic; it’s also a distributor of Samsung, Microsoft, and Olkya. 2010, Oteena became a distributor of Samsung Digital imagining line. In 2012 Waleed started Olkya technology Ltd in Hong Kong, Located in Hong Kong. Olkya is a Consumer electronics manufacturer targeting professional consumers: www.olkya.com. Waleed has developed his own interactive business modeling tool (Hexneur™). Hexeur™ is an interactive tool that builds on business model canvas to convert the entrepreneur vision and qualitative market analysis into financial model to simulate different prospected business scenarios and convert them into one page executive summary that could brief any investor about the worthiness of the business. In Feb 2105, Waleed joined Startup Cup Co. as Vice president Entrepreneurship. Throughout the past 5 years, Waleed has been behind transferring more than 50 wonderful ideas into a robust self-confident business models. Sometimes, Engagement reaches several weeks and starts with problem definition passing by validation, and even ends after the startup is in operation. Some of these startups have been funded either with Venture capital, Angel Investor, crowd funding, or even self-funded.
