Zulé Vuuren

Zulé Vuuren is the Founder and Chief Energy Officer of LocumBase, a South African online platform connecting freelance medical professionals with medical practices. Founded in 2016, LocumBase simplifies the locum booking process. She is also Co-Founder of O-V Optics (Real Kids Shades) and The Future Vision Foundation NPC. Vuuren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from the University of South Africa and studied Strategic Business Management at the University of Cape Town. A dynamic entrepreneur with an appetite for risk and a compulsion to effect positive change, she previously worked in various roles including as a stewardess, photographer, creative writer, and traveled across South America as a volunteer adventurer. In 2018, she received the best tech newcomer of the year award from 88 Business Collective. LocumBase graduated from the Grindstone Accelerator programme in 2020/2021 as Cohort Winner.
